COVID-19 makes training surgical residents quite difficult. Teaching conferences, in-person academic events, & simulation labs must be avoided Rotation between different areas (even w/in the same institution) must be limited. Lastly, a reduced amount of elective surgeries are allowed. Therefore, institutions need new ways to continue high-quality medical training while ensuring the safety of students, educators, and patients
