Current Treatments of Tourette Syndrome
- Dopamine-blocking medications (used to suppress tics)
- Alpha-adrenergic agonists (clonidine and guanfacine)
- Stimulant medications (ethylphenidate and dextroamphetamine - can lessen ADHD symptoms in people with TS without causing more severe tics)
