DMT started with a 10 min warm up where the therapist formed a circle and gave each participant and asked the group to try it out to create a space for the participants to be seen, express their feelings and thoughts and have a space for the therapist.

Dance Movement Therapy uses the mirroring approach to show the expression of the client in the reflection to work on empathy to build a mutual relationship where they share tension level, patterns and flow of the shape.

Although there is no published data on the long-term sustaining of the effects of DMT on outcomes such as aggressive behavior, depression, anxiety, intrusive recollections, and elevated arousal. There are qualitative reports indicating that DMT is highly feasible in a postwar context in terms of emphasizing group cohesion and preventive and reparative capacities.
