Data Sources for German Economic Comparison Graph (Figure 1.16)

The data for the graph (Figure 1.16) that compares the GDP per capita of East Germany, West Germany, Japan, and Spain from 1950-1989 is derived from two main sources. These are the 2015 Total Economy Database provided by The Conference Board, and the 2001 publication 'The World Economy: A Millennial Perspective' by Angus Maddison, from the Development Centre Studies of the OECD.
