Peer review is a practice in scientific journals where at least 2 experts in the field examine the content of a study before it can be published in a scientific journal. Usually the reviewers and writers are anonymous to eliminate potential bias. Some scientists will invent fake experts to review their article or write the review themselves, which is considered fraudulent peer review.
