Association with Social Isolation

Using the PHQ-9 to measure depressive symptoms and data from the Seoul Government Survey on Socially Isolated and Withdrawn Young Adults, researchers deduced that the more depressed young adults were, the more likely they were to be in social isolation. In addition, prolonged isolation (isolation over three years) was also positively associated with depression.
