Depressive Disorders and Sleep Pattern

Many people with depression have trouble sleeping, which often starts before the depression itself. This makes depression worse and more likely to come back. They usually have abnormal REM sleep, which can be a sign of how severe their depression is. This poor quality of sleep makes people more tired and less able to think clearly during the day.
