Designing a Focused Research Study

You are given the following list of countries for a research project on poverty: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

While this list has significant limitations for a study on global poverty, it can still be used for more focused research. Propose a specific, answerable research question about poverty or economic development that could be reasonably investigated using only the countries from this list. Justify why your proposed question is appropriate for this specific sample of countries and outline the key comparison groups you would use.
