Difficulty Seeking Disability Services Pre-college
The article even mentions that a lack of exposure to postsecondary services may contribute to students’ lack of knowledge of disabilities and services. While the lack of transitional services clearly affects when one makes initial contact with ODS, earlier interactions with disability services during students’ primary to pre-college education can further influence their relationship with seeking services. Hence, this is a possible avenue for future research. Other related factors can be investigated as well such as the demographics of people who gain services, etc.
