Discussion of COVID-19 causing HELLP-like syndrome in pregnancy and role of angiogenic factors for differential diagnosis
This study showed that COVID-19 symptoms in pregnant women are often very similar to HELLP syndrome. This could lead to inappropriate treatment plans geared toward treating HELLP instead of COVID-19. This study showed that measuring angiogenic factors can allow for easier identification of COVID-19 in pregnant women, however more studies are needed as there are very few COVID-19 studies focusing on pregnant women.
