Economic Models of Behavior

Economic models provide a simplified representation of the decision-making process. While individuals may not consciously perform numerical calculations for subjective values like enjoyment or effort, they do weigh their feelings alongside tangible monetary costs and benefits. An economic model captures this process of evaluating trade-offs to understand and predict behavior, even if the real-world thought process is less formal.
