Effect of Perfectionism on Treatment Outcomes

Nine out of fifteen studies conducted on the relationship between baseline perfectionism and primary mental health treatment outcomes showed that perfectionism was associated with worse treatment outcomes. Thus, baseline perfectionism can and often has a negative impact on a patient's prognosis.
