Effect of Psychosocial Stress on the Body
By activating the body's stress response, psychosocial stress can produce a range of negative health outcomes. Sustained or repeated activation is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, weakened immune function, and mental health problems such as depression and anxiety.
