As its name says, is a EIP for the core technology of Ethereum, Ethereum Network Protocol, Block, Transactions and Standard for applications. 
Its main goals is to improve the interoperability of the applications and maintain the stability of the network.

Core Ethereum Improvement Proposal

This proposals are aimed to improve **Ethereum network aspects**, such as  efficiency, speed of transactions, cost of transactions, Minting process, Ether Burning Process, security enhancing etc.

Networking Ethereum Improvement Proposal

This propose a new standard for a specific type of interface (**collection of function signatures from a smart contract**), which can be adopted by other contracts in the Ethereum ecosystem. By proposing new interface standards through EIPs, developers can help to create a more standardized and interoperable ecosystem for smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain.

Interface Ethereum Improvement Proposal

ERC stands for (Ethereum Request for Comment) is a technical standards and specifications for implementing Tokens under Ethereum ecosystem

This EIP type is the most common,  they describe about changes that affect the Ethereum implementations such as **Network Protocol**,  **rules of block transactions**, **compatibility applications**. 
For now, this type of EIP is divided in four subcategories.

Through this EIP you cannot create features or improvements it's only for proving general guides or information to the Ethereum community.

This EIP is more used for sharing ideas, expand knowledge or educate others. users or developers are free to ignore or follow the advises provided through this EIP

EIP (Informational)

Through this EIP  changes of how Ethereum operates are proposed or the Governance itself, these EIPs can also include proposals for changing to the decision-making process, organizational and administrative aspects of Ethereum, They mean to improve  the way how Ethereum manages itself.
