The Emergency Telemedicine Consultation System (ETCS) is a network recently implemented in China for COVID-19 symptoms across 126 hospitals. Clinical examinations are carried out remotely, and this allowed for patients to be diagnosed as severe or moderate cases without needing to travel. By February 17th, 2020, 420 patients were cured and discharged.

Approved on March 13, 2020, the Rural Health Care Program aims to ensure telehealth service accessibility to rural populations, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
