The Enchanted Forest Chronicles is a four-book fantasy series by Patricia C. Wrede. It primarily follows Princess Cimorene, King Mendanbar, Morwen (a witch), and Prince Daystar as they and their companions prevent the Society of Wizards from conquering and destroying the dragons, as well as the Enchanted Forest itself.
