Equilibrium

In economics, an equilibrium is a state that is self-perpetuating, meaning it will not change unless acted upon by an external force that is not part of the model. This concept is analogous to a physical state of balance, where opposing forces cancel each other out, resulting in a stable and unchanging situation.
