Establishment of National Fitness Plan for People with ID
In conjunction with the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and AAHPER, JPK Jr. Foundation creates physical education opportunities in schools, camps, and year-round programs for people with ID and eventually the first International Special Olympics Summer Games were held in Chicago in July of 1968.
