Evaluating a Production Strategy

Alex can write a 10-page report in 2 hours or create a 20-slide presentation in 1 hour. His colleague, Ben, can write the same report in 4 hours or create the same presentation in 3 hours. Alex, noticing he is faster at both tasks, decides that to be most efficient, he should do all the work himself without involving Ben. Critically evaluate Alex's decision. Is his strategy the most efficient way to produce reports and presentations? Justify your conclusion by analyzing the relative costs of production for each person and propose a more efficient allocation of tasks if one exists.
