Evaluating a Proposed Exchange

An individual's satisfaction is determined by the number of books they own and the number of concert tickets they have. The additional satisfaction they gain from one more book is 20 units, while the additional satisfaction from one more concert ticket is 80 units. A friend proposes a trade: the individual gives up 3 books in exchange for 1 concert ticket. Using the principle that the total change in satisfaction is the sum of the changes from each good, analyze this proposed trade. Explain whether the individual should accept the trade if their goal is to increase their overall satisfaction. Justify your answer by calculating the approximate change in satisfaction from each part of the trade and the resulting net effect.
