Evaluating a Shift in Production Inputs

A small, artisanal coffee roasting company is considering replacing its team of experienced roasters with a fully automated, computer-controlled roasting system. The new system promises higher consistency and volume but requires a significant initial investment and eliminates several skilled jobs. Evaluate this proposed change from the perspective of the firm's production process. In your evaluation, consider the transformation of inputs (labor and capital) and the potential effects on the final output (roasted coffee beans).
