Evaluating Policy Impacts on the Work-Leisure Trade-off

A government is considering two policies to assist low-income individuals. Policy A is an increase in the hourly minimum wage. Policy B is a one-time, unconditional cash payment to all individuals, regardless of their work status. Analyze and compare how each of these policies would affect an individual's budget constraint in a work-leisure model. In your answer, you must specifically address the impact on the slope of the budget constraint and explain what this change (or lack thereof) implies about the opportunity cost of free time for the individual.
