Evaluating Policy Responses to Wage Stagnation

A government is concerned about stagnant wages for many workers. Two policy proposals are being debated:

Policy A: Increase the national minimum wage by 15%. Policy B: Invest in creating and promoting a highly efficient, centralized online job portal that instantly connects qualified, unemployed workers with all suitable job openings in their region.

Evaluate the potential effectiveness of each policy. In your evaluation, argue which policy is more likely to address a foundational source of a firm's power to set wages, assuming that a key problem is the time and difficulty workers face in finding new employment. Justify your reasoning.
