Evaluating the Economic Efficiency of a Sharecropping Model

Consider a hypothetical economic model where a farmer's work effort, and thus their total output, is directly proportional to the percentage of the harvest they are allowed to keep. A landowner can produce 1,000 kg of grain on a plot of land if they work it themselves. Alternatively, they can lease the land to a sharecropper who must pay 50% of their harvest as rent. Based on the assumptions of this model, evaluate the economic efficiency of the sharecropping arrangement compared to the landowner working the land themselves. In your evaluation, discuss the total output generated and how the output is distributed in both scenarios.
