Evaluating Utility Measurement in Kind

A common method to measure the increase in a person's satisfaction (utility) due to a change in circumstances, such as a new policy, is to calculate the equivalent amount of a specific good (e.g., money or grain) that would provide the same increase in satisfaction. Critically evaluate this method. In your answer, discuss at least one major advantage and one significant limitation of quantifying subjective well-being in terms of a single, tangible good.
