Evidence Linking Defective Tyres to Union Workers During Labor Strife

Detailed analysis of production records revealed a surprising pattern that contradicted the union's initial theory blaming replacement workers. Investigators found that replacement workers produced virtually none of the faulty tyres. Instead, the vast majority of defects originated from experienced union workers during two specific periods of intense labor conflict: just before the 1994 strike was called and immediately after it ended in defeat for the union.
