Example of a Sticker Chart in Behavior Modification

A sticker chart is an example of a token economy used by parents or teachers. In this system, several desired behaviors (e.g., brushing teeth, raising hands, or putting away toys) are listed on a chart. Each time a child performs one of these behaviors, they receive a sticker, which functions as a token. Once they accumulate a specified number of stickers, they exchange them for a meaningful reward, such as a trip to the ice cream parlor.
