Example of Applying Divisibility Tests

To see if 5,6255{,}625 is divisible by various numbers, we use divisibility tests. It is not divisible by 22 because it does not end in 00, 22, 44, 66, or 88. It is divisible by 33 because the sum of its digits (5+6+2+5=185 + 6 + 2 + 5 = 18) is divisible by 33. It is divisible by 55 since its last digit is 55, but not by 1010 because it does not end in 00. Lastly, it is not divisible by 66 because it is not divisible by both 22 and 33.
