Example of Indirect Reciprocity in a Professional Setting

An experienced software developer, Alice, spends time mentoring a junior colleague, Bob, from a different team. Later, when Alice needs help with a project, a manager from another department, Carol, who heard about Alice's reputation as a helpful mentor, readily approves her request for additional resources. Carol's help, prompted by Alice's reputation, is an example of indirect reciprocity.
