The idea of including people with disabilities to equally benefit from sexual services available for able-bodied individuals enhances the individual autonomy and self-determination of people with disabilities. This is based on the view that most people, abled or not, have a basic need to be loved and intimate, as well as express love and affection.



The importance of sexual services equally provided to people with disabilities

It had been argued that Australia should make provisions for people with disabilities to access government-funded sex therapy, sexual education and sexual services.
