SEN services are already considered adjustments for the care of children, so the case of change (case of the child) must be considered an exception to the already provided services.

For children, it is especially difficult identifying the impairment and the long term effects. The DDA places special pressures on needing to demonstrate their disability to prove it fits under the medical requirements, or else their case will be dismissed entirely. Taking a case to court is dependent on the understanding of the parent/child of their rights according to the DDA.
