Two colleagues, Sam and Maria, work in the same role at a company and earn an identical hourly wage of $30. Sam feels the compensation is fair for the work required and is content with the job. Based on the principles of calculating the net benefit from employment, explain the most likely reason for this difference in their perception of the job.
