Exploring lightweight interventions at posting time to reduce the sharing of misinformation on social media - Methodology: Nudge Study (RQ2)
- Participants given an online survey with 10 headlines randomly selected from a pool of 54 headlines (24 true, 25 false, 5 both true and false)
- Treatment – asked if claim accurate and how confident they are with the answer
- Reasoning condition – why they believed the claim was true/false
- Everyone asked if they would share on social media and why or why not
