The FSA is considered to be an outdated, but reliable and widely used ageism assessment scale. FSA does not separate positive and negative views of the geriatric population but aggregates the total tolerance for the age group.

 The ageism in a given population was measured by four factors: attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, and intention. Holistically, this evaluated how much a person would value the experience of working with an older person and if they are likely to continue to work with them. Compared to other scales, the WOAS is relatively new and improving.

Working With Older Adults Scale (WOAS)

The test measured ageism through people’s perceptions of Restricting Life of the Elderly, Positive Ageism, and Negative Ageism.
