FAM-SOTC Phase 2: Intervention
The second phase lasts from the second session to the fourth and final one. It is the longer and more extensive of the two phases. In this phase, patients and family members are more thoroughly educated on schizophrenia and how to best manage it, work on developing a more positive mindset and coping strategies, and learn how to best support one another. They are also given the opportunity to express and listen to each other's feelings and recognize that they are all valid. During the final session, they are also instructed to look into the future and create goals.
