Participants were asked if they thought they were at risk of developing severe Covid symptoms, a major stressor. Below are their answers organized by sociodemographic characteristics (risk and protective factors).

Some pandemic-related stressors that are associated with higher levels of Adjustment Disorder symptoms are: 
- Fear of infection
- Government crisis management
- Limited social contact/activity
- Work-related issues (job loss)
- Housing related issues

These stressors made no difference of whether or not someone may develop an Adjustment Disorder:

- Restricted access to resources (goods, health care, medicine, or insufficient capacity in the healthcare system for ill people)
- Burden of infection (being infected, infection of a loved one, death of a loved one due to a covid infection)

Pandemic-Related Stressors with No Associations with Adjustment Disorders

Out of all pandemic-related stressors, fear of infection was deemed to be the most burdensome, followed by restricted activity, and then restricted social contact.
