Federal librarians work at a library owned by the federal government. Examples of this can range from academic libraries to military libraries.

Law libraries are designed to help law students and legal professionals in their research. Not all law libraries requires librarians to have degrees in both Law and Library Science. Law librarians are not allowed to offer legal advice and can only assist in finding library materials.
