Federal Trade Commission (FTC)

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is an independent agency of the United States government responsible for enforcing civil antitrust laws and protecting consumers. As part of its mandate to address anti-competitive practices, the FTC can issue rules, such as the 2024 decision to ban non-compete clauses in worker contracts.
