- Fluency Passages :
    - Passages that are the instructional reading level of the student are used. The times and errors are noted down over the course of 3-4 times the student read (out loud) to see improvement.
- Repeated reading:
    - The Paraprofessional will first read a passage or page of a book out loud then the student will read it aloud.

Fluency interventions are focused on the average words per minute goal (first-time read-through) and the fluidity of their speech.

Types of Reading interventions

Fluency Intervention 

Accuracy Interventions are focused on learning correct pronunciation and the ability to sound out words they don't know. When the student gets a word wrong immediately stop them and have them try again using different methods. If they are struggling give them the word as well as how to figure or sound it out and have them repeat it back to you. 

Accuracy Intervention

Comprehension Interventions are focused on the student's ability to understand and process what they are reading. With a focus on their ability to explain the important details of the story back to the paraprofessional.
