Eight patients, including those who showed normal chest CT examinations, underwent follow-up chest CT scans.

Time between initial CT and follow-up CT:

mean: 2.5 days range: 1–4 days

• one infected patient (13%) with normal initial scan showed no change
• another patient with normal initial scan showed a new solitary, rounded peripheral ground-glass lesion in CT image taken after 3 days
