Remote Workplace Design in For-Profit Organizations
In for-profit organizations, remote workplace design often involves navigating employer concerns about at-home distractions. Compared to nonprofit organizations, for-profit businesses tend to exert a stronger push for employees to return to the physical office. To balance organizational goals with flexible work arrangements, many for-profit businesses adopt a hybrid workplace model, where some employees work in person and others work remotely. Furthermore, despite some employer concerns about lost productivity, remote workers in these settings tend to work more hours than their on-site counterparts.
