Formulating a Simplified Optimization Problem

A consumer's satisfaction from consuming two goods, X and Y, is represented by a utility function. Their spending is limited by a fixed income. To find the combination of goods that provides the most satisfaction, the problem can be simplified by expressing utility as a function of only one of the goods. Using the information provided, perform this simplification and state the final utility function in terms of only Good X.
