Gaze direction on pain perception

The direction and focus of the gaze tends to bias the area of pain perception toward the side of the gaze. This suggests a prioritization of visual input on the perception of pain. In general, visuospatial biases are of larger magnitude if the pain stimuli is applied to the left hand but not hte right.
