Germany's Management on Intensive Care Units

Due to the careful planning of the German government, the intensive care units (ICUs) have not been overly stressed. In March, a register of ICUs was established by the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine and RKI and information was reported daily since April 16. The data showed a long-term trend of sufficient ICU capacity, and thus the government passed a law on May 14 providing free ICU care to patients from other EU countries
