Legislative branch- comprised of members of congress. Has the responsibility of passing and amending laws and possesses the power to cultivate budgets, along with other responsibilities.

Executive branch- The president and their cabinet. Leads the country in numerous ways, including ensuring enforcement of laws and commanding of American armed forces.

Judicial branch- American court system, consisting of state and federal courts. Powers include interpretation of laws, and addressing legal inquiries.
