Government Income Support in High-Income Countries During COVID-19 Lockdowns

In response to government-mandated stay-at-home orders during the COVID-19 pandemic, high-income countries provided substantial income support to workers who were unable to perform their jobs. This financial assistance was intended to offset the economic repercussions, referred to as knock-on effects, that ripple through an economy during such disruptions.
