Graphical Representation of Social Preferences

Consider a graph where your own monetary payoff is represented on the horizontal axis and another person's monetary payoff is on the vertical axis. Compare and contrast the shape of your indifference curves if you are purely self-interested versus if you have some-altruism (i.e., you care about the other person's payoff as well as your own). Explain the economic reasoning for why the curves have these distinct shapes in each case.
