Graphical Representation of Voluntary Unemployment in the WS-PS Model

In the graphical representation of the WS-PS model, voluntary unemployment can be identified by the difference between the total size of the labour force and point V on the reservation wage curve. Point V represents the total number of individuals who are willing to work at the equilibrium wage (wAw_A). Therefore, those in the labour force but beyond point V are considered voluntarily unemployed as they are seeking work but are not willing to accept a job at the prevailing equilibrium wage.
