Grouped Frequency Table of Reaction Times

A grouped frequency table can be used to illustrate a hypothetical distribution of simple reaction times for a sample of 2020 participants. Since reaction times encompass a wide range of continuous values, the first column lists ranges of equal width—specifically, intervals such as 141141 to 160160, 161161 to 180180, and up to 241241 to 260260 milliseconds. The second column displays the frequency of participants whose reaction times fall into each respective interval. For instance, the table shows that 99 participants had reaction times in the 181181 to 200200 millisecond range, effectively summarizing the data into manageable groups.
