High-Frequency Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) for Treatment-Resistant or Severe and Enduring Anorexia Nervosa (SE-AN) Treatment Caveats
Many patients who received rTMS treatment for SE-AN reporting weeks or even months before noticing changes in ED symptomatology, weight, and other consequences of anorexia nervosa. Thus, while rTMS has stable effects on mood, improvements in BMI and ED symptomatology may take time to appear, in line with other neuromodulation treatments.
